1: Loosen the black set screw on the right side of the auto-focus housing (circled in blue).
2: Spin the gold pin counter-clockwise until the pin comes out. (The red "plunger" portion at the top of the laser head that goes through the black auto focus sensor "shoe" may fall - as it is not threaded into the auto focus pin any longer.
3: Put in a new pin and screw it into the red "plunger" mentioned above.
4: Tighten the set screw again and test the auto focus pin now actuates up and down by following this document:
