To install your 4-inch lens kit you will need to first undo these bolts and remove the lens cartridge, these bolts will also remove the autofocus pin unit.
You will get a replacement cartridge and a 4" lens. With the spare cartridge, you can swap lenses quickly and without having to handle the lens each time.
Insert the lens with the convex side up as shown in the picture below. GENTLY insert the bolts to the lens cartridge to hold down the lens ensure the Teflon washers are in place and tighten the bolts until they hold the lens in place they should only be tightened until the lens is snug any tighter risks cracking the lens.
After the 4" lens is installed in the new lens cartridge you can reinstall the lens cartridge into the laser head, and reattach the focus pin although you will not be able to use it with the 4" lens.
Finally, you will undo the nozzle on the bottom of the laser head and replace it with the 4" lens tube replacement to direct your air assist more closely towards your material.
You may need to re-position your 3rd mirror when changing the lens depending on your beam angle. if your beam is even slightly off from being perfectly straight it will collide with the new nozzle.
To focus with the longer nozzle you will lower your bed manually until the acrylic block (scanning offset block that came with your machine) just narrowly fits beneath the nozzle end as shown below.
