To install your door sensor you will first have to mark out a location that works for your sensor( typically this is best located where the door makes contact with the machine bed.
you will need to drill a hole into the rear panel of our machine bed 1/4" just bellow your rotary plug and feed the sensor wire through the hole.
Next the main wire cover will have to be removed to reveal at least 18 inches of the three stranded wires.
take the green and blue wire from the cable and feed it into the lower rear tray of your machine and connect it to the power supply shown in the images below.
Next the black wire will have to be fed up into the back of the grey electrical plug. this plug will need to be disassembled and the black wire soldered to pin number 1. ( see image bellow)
Lastly you will need to put the sensor into position and close the door with the machine power on you will know it is working if the red sensor indicator light turns on. If the sensor is working correctly the next step will be to mark, drill and tap 2 M3 holes and bolt the sensor to the machine bed.
The next steps will take place within the lightburn software with your machine on and connected to our laser.
select Edit in the top left corner of the screen followed by selecting device settings.
a pop up window will appear and in the top right hand corner there will be a series of red and green squares with numbers bellow them. open and close the door and see which sensor changes status between red and green.
once you have found which sensor is operating this function look to the middle of the pop up window on the right hand side and there will be a selection called door sensor followed by a dropdown bar. select the number input you have found to be the correct door sensor input.
at this time select okay and perform a test cut if the machine shows an error open the device settings again and change the status of the door sensor from high to low on the indicator to the right of the drop down window. press okay and test again if you open the door the laser should stop and the sensor should now be set up.
