Quick Initial Setup

E-FML

Checklist:

• 

  I have reviewed my “CanCam Setup” email for information on my machine

• 

  Lightburn has been downloaded on my computer and license key registered (Galvo License)

• 

  My laser has been plugged in with the supplied power cable

• 

  I have the supplied USB cable connected between my computer and the laser

• 

  The lens cover has been removed

• 

  My machine has been powered on to establish the connection

Process (for the original lens attached to machine):

• 

  Open the orange case and plug the silver USB in to your computer

• 

  Open Lightburn and select “Devices” in the bottom right

• 

  Select Import

• 

  Navigate to the USB stick and select the file on the front of the USB, it might be called something like “Lightburn setup file” or it might be named after your machine like “E-FML Setup”

• 

  Your machine is now setup for use with the originally installed lens and computer connected

Process (for additional or newly installed lenses):

• 

  Open the orange case and plug the silver USB in to your computer

• 

  Open Lightburn and select “Devices” in the bottom right

• 

  Select Create Manually

• 

  Select JCZFiber and Click Next

• 

  Click Import EZCad config

• 

  Navigate to your USB and open the RF folder

• 

  Select the folder for the appropriate lens this example is the 175mmx175mm

• 

  Go through the folders until you find the “plug” folder

• 

  Then select the markcfg7 file and load it 

• Your laser connection is now established and functional with your new lens
