testing spindle outputs nk105

Modified on Tue, 17 Aug, 2021 at 1:04 PM

to do this you will need a multi meter and set it to detect DC voltage.

please make sure your meter is detecting DC voltage not AC. this can be confirmed by the symbols below.

next we will need you to power on your machine.

locate the nk105 controller inside your electrical cabinet and find the spindle output wires.

the pin locations will be labeled on the nk105 controller as gy 17-gy14 as well as the nearest GND terminal.

first test is to touch your black lead from your multi meter to your GND screw head and with the red terminal touch off on each of the GY connections and record the value. GY 17- gy14 should all read 0 volts.

next turn your spindle on by pressing the manual spindle button directly to the right of the red stop button on the top left of your handheld controller. following this hold shift followed by the increase feed rate button. this is located to the left of the x y=0 button the middle left of your handheld controller.

set it to run at S7 than using the multi-meter test the same terminals as the first test.

In this state each of the GY terminals should read 1 volt DC. Please record all this information and send us the results.
